speed racers on motorcycles

Anonymous has left a new comment on your post "June 2008 Board Meeting changed to 6/17/08":

Anybody have any good ideas to get those speed racers on motorcycles to stop racings up and down our complex roads?? I know that one guy that lives with his mom in unit #1 loves to pull wheelee's and race on the southern part of the complex of which I live. I also have seen him crash his new airplane into a couple of cars. The worst one I think was when he crashed it on the hood of that white GMC Envoy. Should I just confront him and tell him to stop? Any ideas would be great. I would hate for this situation to escalate. It feels like living in lower Fullerton.

(Dear Blogger, Please Add this to the front page as a post)
As a single mom I feel that there is no security in this complex anymore! (if there ever really was any) I truly fear for my childrens safety. I believe that the main person who brings the bike racers into this place is that Phill kid or that other kid with the toy helicoptors that has his buddys punching gate codes to enter our coplex at all hours of the night. I don't even know the code and I have lived here for 3 yrs! I fell that if we are going to be forced to pay an outragous assement then we should weed out the rotten people whom bring down the saftey and property values of this place first! I have asked Phill to slow down on his bike and got a dirty look and was cursed at by another kid with a long beard and bald head to f-off an mind my business. Screw the water issues for now and enforce some fricking rules people! Fix the gate and hand out some fines to the people in the back alley and not focus on who is parking in the handicap spot to check their mail! Wait until someone gets ran down and killed or maimed due to someone, possibly a(renter)non owner or a visitor playing with their toys in our back yard!

Everyone is aware of the on-going issues we have with the 'trailer trash' of the complex, but no one seems to do anything about it. Security should be our MAIN issue for the welfare of everyone in our community. The people who are allowing their ADULT children to run wreckless throughout the complex and pose a threat to others instead of working for a living like the rest of us should be held accountable.

Number 1 parking in a handicap spot illegally is wrong. Do you not understand that those spaces are reserved for the unfortunate? If you do then you will understand this, don't park in that space.
Number 2 we all live here. So, if someone is riding their bike around the complex fast it is your right to complain. Yet, if they are riding slow to test their bikes after working on them that IS their right. They do need to slow down, I agree.
After all, we all live here and we all have our own interests and hobbies.
Number 3 as far as the gate goes there is no code to get in that way. So maybe whoever is letting people in is having guests over. I do, and I'm sure you and others here are having people come over to visit.
Basically I have lived here for at least 4 years now and I like this place( aside from the water issues). Lets all try to get along and talk to each other and not just write things on a web site to make us feel better. As for the cursing guy, call the cops!

I know some of the board members have read this section....What are your thoughts?????I voted for this new board but now wonder that it might be a mistake, only because when Rene was in charge it was different, I bet he wouldn't have hesitated to fine those bikers for there wreckless actions. I am sure that one cursing guy would have never gotten the chance to curse out that lady. Can anyone imagine how she must have felt inside? I 'm asuming a hard working mom who just wants to live her life peacefully in a nice community which is now getting expensive to maintain, with her daughter to be threatened in her own home. To pay as much rent or mortage as some of us do, and have to be worried about some punks. Thats just sad. It seems the board before Rene and after Rene are to scared to do anything when in fact they are the only ones who can. These kids are not going to listen to us, if anything they will most likely vandalize are vehicles if we do. How about two warnings and then start a fine schedule. I know some board members are reading this. Please say something??????

A bout the speed racers today 7/29 at around 5:00 heard the motorcycles my husband went out side to talk to the riders and I was on the phone calling the police about this situation, it concerns us because we have children and some times their out side walking there's neighbors walking their dogs,I do not have a problem with people and motorcycles but the speed their going to is not the appropriate for the residential area.

I agree with nothing wrong with motorcycles. All that is needed is you pull your bike out of the garage and warm it up, then drive away. This is not a repair facility and test track for the motorcycles. You don't test drive a motorcycle by doing wheelies and shifting through your gears as fast as these guys are doing. If these guys are testing the repairs on their bikes then maybe someone should tell them to stop being so cheap and take it to a real bike shop, cause what they are doing to the bike is not working. They are just trying to show off in a place that has no one to show off to. Maybe in a high school parking lot this activity is common, but c'mon get brave and ride in the street. I have seen people on mopeds battling imperial highway, now thats worth showing off for.
