the only way for things to be changed

Anonymous said...

It appears that there are 6 candidates for the Board elections. For all those that haven't liked the way things have been this past year, please cast your votes for the 5 canidates running against Rene. Getting him out is the only way for things to be changed.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but although Kelly Thompson is on the ballot, she has made it clear that her intention is to NOT serve another year, according to Diversified Management. Scuttlebutt has it that at least one or two of the other incumbents may do the same. Rene will be the president of the Parkridge HOA by default, as Todd in 122 has previously predicted.

If you want to protest, one option is to not send in your ballot or attend the annual meeting. He then may still be on the Board, but the membership will not have validated it. The only reason they were placed on the ballot was to have at least five candidates for the formal election.

I got the ballot yeterday and was disappointed, but not surprised, to only see the five incumbents plus David Fabrizio. I happen to know who David is and the only two things I'd say is that I have no idea why he wants to be on the board and that, knowing him as I do, I would not vote for him. That's all I have to say about that.

I speak to Kelly Thompson on a regular basis and I know for sure she will not be a Board member next year in any way, shape, or form. I noticed this year that "Candidate Statements" were not required as they have been in years past, and I'm just wondering out loud how many of the other incumbents intend to actually serve another term.

On the positive side, I was happy to see that we finally have a "secret ballot", which I was unsuccesful in convincing previous management companies was necessary. On the other hand, there was a comment intending to discourage write-in votes. Gee, I wonder who's idea that was ?

Anyway, I'm giving all five of my votes to Kelly Thompson. That way, we'll be one vote closer to having a quorum without personally validating the reign of Emperor Rene.

Finally, I wish the new management company the best of luck and sincerely hope they bring some sanity back to managing our happy homes.

dKelly can count on our five votes too. There is nothing we would like better than to see her in place of Rene as President of Parkridge. Perhaps an overwhelming show of support for her from the Parkridge voters could convince her to stay?

Actually all the people running for the "King (or queen) Of Parkridge" contest are horrible choices. But if getting Rene off the board entails having the board ran by an eye rolling, cutting people off mid-sentence, power struggling woman- then you are all screwed againe in exactly the same place you started! but hey, any change could be refreshing for at least the first four meetings untill the finger pointing begins. Do as I did and sell your condo- even if it means selling below market and start somewhere else. It's allways better to be pissed off then pissed on, but in owning or living in Parkridge you get to have BOTH!

Our five votes go for Kelly too.#126

It seems like simple math to me. Thanks to Mr. Fabrizio, there are 6 candidates for 5 spots. If everyone simply casts their 5 votes for the 5 who are not you know who...

This is for B, who was so unhappy living here that he sold his unit at a loss and now seems unable to put his Parkridge experience behind him.

I suggest that it was people like you, who have no idea of what the concept of property ownership and the risk and responsibility of the same is about, that make this place virtually impossible to manage.
